Statsministeren beklager / Norwegian Prime Minister's Apology

Statsminister Jens Stoltenberg (Ap) beklager at nordmenn deltok i arrestasjoner og deportasjoner av jøder under krigen.

In his speech on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day the Norwegian Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, said:

"Without relieving the Nazis of their responsibility, it is time for us to aknowledge that Norwegian policemen and other Norwegians took part in the arrest and deportation of Jews. Today I feel it is fitting for me to express our deepest apologies that this could happen on Norwegian soil."
